Endotoxin Testing

Endotoxins are present in the cell wall of Gram negative bacteria, frequently found in water. Therefore any water used in the manufacturing or wash processes should be tested for the presence  of endotoxin. High levels of Endotoxin may cause an immune response, with varying degrees of severity.

MVS use the PK Flex from Associates of Cape Cod to quantitatively determine endotoxin levels on medical devices and in final rinse water. Our routine test method is turbidimetric kinetic although the chromogenic kinetic method is also available if required.
